Description:
Located in a quiet area 1,6 km away from traffic noises, on a hill with a gorgeous few. We house on our farm purebred Icelandic horses, registered Scottish Highland Cattle and cats in all colors. Our main goal is training horses. We like, when guests watch the training or join us on our daily checking tour through the pasture and the barns. Nice walking trails through the woods. The Father John Angus Rankin Cultural Centre (with public access to Internet and e-mail) is in walking distance. Restaurants, shopping malls and the sea shore can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. Guests with pets are welcome.
Our comfortable guest rooms are in a separate building. Equipped with queen size bed, Sofa bed and clock radio. For guests only is the 4 piece bath with whirlpool and sauna, washer /dryer, picnic table. We serve a substantial continental breakfast with homemade bread and jams.
Follow the walking trails from our farm and explore the Cape Breton woodland with its fascinating wildlife and vegetation. White tail deer, foxes and bald eagles could be seen, with some luck, black bears as well. The famous panoramic Cabot Trail with its spectacular scenarios. Pay special notice to Cheticamp and surrounding communities. Arcadian settlements quaint fishing villages that offer French culture and fresh seafood. Enjoy a Whale Watching and Seabird Tour. Fortress of Louisbourg is also nice to see. Baddeck, the beautiful village with the Alexander Graham Bell Museum of wonders. Pay special notice to Cheticamp and surrounding communities.
