Description:
Aaron Burr House Bed and Breakfast is, an 1873 “Painted Lady”, one block from New Hope center in historic Bucks County. Each one of the inn's accommodations has a distinct personality, hand painted/stenciled by a New Hope artist and feature antiques, private bath, and air conditioners. Most have brass ceiling fans, and some have canopy four poster beds and/or fireplace. Private pool and tennis club privileges for guests too. Rated and approved by AAA three diamond, and MOBIL, three stars. Serving business and leisure travelers since 1990. On bus line from New York City; located midway between NYC and Philadelphia and 3 hours from Baltimore/DC Metro area.
The inn takes its name from the third Vice President of the United States. After Aaron Burr's infamous and fatal pistol duel with Alexander Hamilton in 1804, Burr escaped to New Hope for safe haven. The inn's stone foundation is all that remains of this pre-Revolutionary War era home where Burr is said to have hid for over a week. Today, our inn still offers a warm and hospitable welcome to weary travelers along the Old York Road. And the spirit of Aaron Burr can still be experienced at our inn...

Wonderful location, great town, friendly innkeepers. New Hope is a charming little town on the Deleware River filled with small shops, galleries and lots of good restaurants and nite spots too. Aaron Burr is a victorian in the Historic District so you can walk to everything...like Triump Rest and Brewery, and Martine's. Our Fireplace Room had a big King bed and was spotless. Lupe and Faye were friendly and courteous staff. We met Carl & Nadine (owners) at breakfast (and we took advantage of Breakfast in Bed the second morning (lol). - D.
