We're located on U.S. Route 1 (the coastal highway) in East Machias, Maine, on the East Machias River. The East Machias is a tidal river that ebbs and flows with the changing tides, and serves as a sea-run for Atlantic salmon and shad. An eagle lives nearby, and seals and herons are seen frequently. You can walk the retired railroad tracks that run alongside the river, or sit comfortably in our small garden at river's edge and enjoy the view. The tides range from eighteen to twenty-eight feet on the coast in Washington County. Relax in one of our smoke-free guest rooms; each contains a private bath, antiques, and cable TV.
