Description:
History
Kilburnie was build by local dentist Dr. Lee in 1827 in the Federal style. In 1841 the home was enlarged and transformed into a formal Greek revival style mansion. In the late nineteenth century the building was embellished with Victorian details. Kilburnie was entered into the National register in 1979 and is the oldest surviving home of Lancaster. Faced with demolition in 1998, the building was relocated 3˝ miles to historic Craig Farm and faithfully restored to its 1841 grandeur by its current owners.
