Great place to stay!
The Ingram Haus is a very clean B&B (minus the breakfast). I stayed for 2 weeks in August 2005 & I had a wonderfully relaxing time. The owner communicates by email promptly, he is very knowledgeable about New Orleans, and his pricing is terrific. The neighborhood is undergoing improvements. While I was on foot as I felt safe, one may want to take a taxi if they find the 6 blocks to the French Quarter too far or unsafe. I stayed in a large room with a comfortable queen bed, a fridge & microwave. It was very clean & bug-free. The backyard area is very private & there is a washer/dryer available. There is a market across the street, a Walgreens nearby, and plenty of bars (gay & straight) within walking distance.
