Description:

Let us be the first to introduce you to historic Abingdon, Virginia, the oldest town west of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Incorporated in 1778, it is home to the elegant Martha Washington Inn, the historic Barter Theatre (the State Theater of Virginia), and the Virginia Creeper Trail.

Whether you're contemplating a leisurely vacation or a weekend getaway, we invite you to consider a stay at the White Birches Inn - a bed and breakfast in the Historic District of olde Abingdon, Virginia.

A destination for both young and old alike, Abingdon offers more activities than you can pack into a single weekend: The Moonlight Drive-In, The Carter Family Fold, Fly-fishing at South Holston Lake and upscale antique shopping, plus annual events such as The Virginia Highlands Festival, Appalachian Trail Days, and The Highlands Jazz Festival.

Give us a call so we can put together a getaway that suits your particular interests.

Not the best Inn in Abingdon
Abingdon is a lovely town; well worth the visit. White Birches is not the place to stay. There are a half dozen better inns in town. This inn is conveniently located and clean. Above that there it doesn't have a lot going for it. The parking situation is horrendous. There are no grounds to walk around and the back porch is crowded. Breakfast is minimal.
