Description:
A very private, quite and spacious Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast in one of the most beautiful places in Hawaii. Each room has private entrances, private kitchenette and bath, cable television, air conditioning, and telephone as well as unobstructed view and access to beach and shoreline just yards from the deck. Kitchenetts are supplied with all of the basic supplies and utincels. BBQ on the deck. Dip in the cool pools, soak in the hot tub, sleep on king-sized beds, and listen to the sounds of the surf. The ponds are ocean and fresh water fed. They are beautiful, cool and clear with grassy banks and mostly sandy bottom, safe swimming for young and old alike. The ocean breaks on the lava reef just beyond the colorful tide pools, and there are other good swimming beaches within walking distance, one with black sand and coconut trees and another with white sand. We are in the beach park area and we can direct you to the best snorkeling, surfing and SCUBA diving spots. We are four miles from the center of Hilo. Excellent restaurant within walking distance, Tropical botanical Gardens, Homemade Ice Cream Shop and small store less than a mile away. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a beautiful and easy 50-minute drive. The property is landscaped with an abundance of tropical fruit trees, exotic plants and flowers, garden tours available by resident gardener. Tours of Hilo and east Hawaii available.

Interesting If you want a hostel setting, throwback to the 60's and don't mind people walking over you all night and a mouse running around your room, you'll like this place!!! The person running this place is nice and cordial, knows the island, but his place is definitely not ready to be rented out at this time. It has the possibility of being a great place, but presently is not good. Maybe if he decided to run it like a business and not a place for people to hang out it would be worth going to. We enjoyed the area it was in, but felt it was run very poorly. - from jRedlands, CA | Added: 2007-04-21
