Description:
Built in 1885, the Inn is named in honor of Mary Lawrence who bought the building in 1908. She was a young widow and educator and housed "proper" female teachers from the College. Guest accommodations are furnished with antique furniture, quilts and coverlets, a plethora of books, and collectibles. The parlor, sun room and large outdoor deck are all available for guest use. The hot tub in our back yard is available to use year-round. Guests gather around the dining room table for a full breakfast that exceeds their expectations. Special diets are accommodated with advance notice. The Mary Lawrence Inn is a prefect "home base" for those seeking fun and adventure. Recreational opportunities nearby can be found at Crested Butte Mountain Resort and SkiMonarch; in the Taylor, East, and Gunnison rivers; mountain biking, hiking; fall color tours and sightseeing; Blue Mesa Reservoir and Curecanti National Recreation Area; and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.
