If you crave the beauty and serenity of nature, peace and quiet, privacy and a chance to see real upstate New York close-up, our cottage is right for you. We are just a short scenic drive from Oneonta to Cooperstown where you will find the Baseball Hall of Fame, The Soccer Hall of Fame. The cottage sits in a clearing on 11 acres of woods, perfect for bird watching with hiking and walking trails. The only sound you will hear at night is the sound of crickets, and is a great romantic get-away. Or just relax and swim in our 20'x 40' pool, enjoy a picnic and outdoor gas grill by the cottage, or have access to many fine, inexpensive, off the beaten path restaurants. What we offer is a vacation experience you will want to repeat. We are child & pet friendly and a non-smoking establishment. The cottage itself has two bedrooms (a queen and the other with twins) and can sleep six. There is a comfortable living room (which has two hotel quality twin beds) with a monitor/VCR with tapes and a phone to make reservations wherever you might want to go, a fully equipped kitchen (including pots, pans, dishes, blender and coffee maker), and a full bathroom with tub and shower. Ceiling fans cool the bedrooms and there is a heating system for warmth. Quilts, linens and towels and provided. A canoe is available. You can shop our country store, go to our country fairs, find treasures among our antiques, go to music festivals, the opera, go to vineyards for tasting, and sample local beer, ride horses. something for everybody in the family.The drive is worth the magic and tranquility of the cottage. We assure you an enjoyable stay.
