River’s Edge is located on the Galien River, 5 blocks from Lake Michigan. Known for its natural surrounding beauty, it’s a popular retreat for travelers and tourists. Get away and relax in the serenity of the forest, sand beaches and beautiful sunsets. River’s Edge furnishings are hand crafted by Heartwood, a local group of artists, from local countryside wood. Each room portrays a different theme honoring a specific tree. There are nine different trees represented in suites throughout the lodge. For instance, there is the Birch Room, the Silver Maple Room, and the American Hornbeam Room. Each room is unique and comfortable as five of the rooms have a separate porch area, while other rooms have cathedral ceilings. Every room at the River’s Edge has a double Jacuzzi, a fireplace, and a TV/VCR.
